Project Description

Curtin University’s Strategic Plan 2013-17 establishes targets to double research income, recruit 100 iconic research focused scholars and grow its Higher Degree by Research (HDR) load by 60% to strengthen its reputation as a research intensive University. To achieve this vision commensurate facilities and infrastructure are required to accommodate the expanding research needs of the University. Key projects being undertaken in support of the University’s strategic research objectives include:

  • Construction of a new necropsy facility for marine mammal research;
  • Refurbishment of 450m2 of PC1 laboratory space for grains research;
  • Upgrade of the civil engineering concrete handling yard and laboratories;
  • Provision of a thermal fluids research and teaching facility.

Our Role

NS Projects is responsible for providing program and project management services during the planning, design and delivery of 24 projects, predominantly being undertaken in support of Curtin University’s strategic research objectives. Key services provided include brief development, design management, consultant and contractor procurement, risk and value management, budget management, contract administration, stakeholder engagement and client liaison.

  • Curtin’s research capabilities are being successfully expanded through the above projects which have enabled the acquisition of new strategic research focused scholars, grant based research equipment and growth in HDR enrolments.
