The Albert Facey Office fit-out was part of the Government Office Accommodation Program. The works involved demolition of the existing fit-out from the ground to the seventh floor and the construction of a new functional and modern working environment for multi-tenanted government departments. The base building was upgraded to achieve BCA compliance and to provide end of trip facilities.
The project also involved external façade refurbishment which included demolition of an existing external walkway at first floor level. The remaining steel work was utilised to support a new glazed canopy along the southern façade.
NS Projects was appointed project manager in 2010. The role included consultant team leadership, management of the design process, contract procurement, contract administration and assuming the role of superintendent’s representative.
