The site occupies a key location on the corner of Helena Street and Foundry Road, Midland. The development provides a mixture of affordable one, two and three bedroom apartments for a mix of socio-economic groups included the aged and physically impaired. In addition, the project provides a range of commercial units for small local businesses close to the Midland Train Station, which aligns with Foundation Housing’s aim to provide housing and commercial opportunities close to transport hubs.
The development is a good reflection of high-quality architectural solutions and workmanship achieved on a relatively low budget.
NS Projects was appointed project manager and superintendent in 2009. During construction, our role was independent superintendent providing full contract administration services during the 15-month construction programme, including managing the handover and subsequent occupation.
