On 8 November 2013 the Planning Institute of Australia WA Division held its annual Awards for Planning Excellence. The Awards aim to emphasise the important role of the planning profession in the development of Western Australia’s infrastructure and to heighten public awareness of good planning.
NS Projects is pleased to have been part of some award winning projects.
Great Place Award
The City of Perth won the ‘Great Place Award’ for the redevelopment of Forrest Place. NS Project’s provided project management and superintendent services.
Great Place Commendation
Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority in conjunction with Josh Byrne & Associates and NS Projects were commended for the ‘Great Place Award’ for Perth Cultural Centre Project. The judges cited: “Through the current refurbishment programme it is now being rejuvenated into a truly vibrant and valued community asset.” NS Projects provided project managment from initial concept design, place planning and stakeholder engagement through to managing the implementation and handover works .
Minister’s Award
The Perth Cultural Centre also received the Minister’s Award. The Minister cited: “The Improvement and activation of the space has been well planned, implemented and maintained.”
